Floyd Mayweather Jr: Still the Best Even After Jail Time?

"Still the Best Even After Jail Time?"

The undisputed and undefeated pound for pound fighter "Money Mayweather" sits down with ESPN's Stephen A. Smith to discuss Floyd's life in the last past yr.Without hesitation, Stephen A. dives right into it asking Mayweather Jr. about his prior eighty-seven day incarceration in a county jail. Floyd almost immediately fires back with a semi-emotional response saying "I wasn't there for my youngest daughter's birthday". Smith also asks how Mayweather Jr. kept his sanity being imprisoned twenty-three out of twenty-four hours of the day--which Floyd has an extremely peculiar answer. And finally the question everybody wants to know the answer to, "What happen with the Floyd/PacquiĆ”o fight?". Mayweather Jr. says he personally offered Manny forty million for a fight but he said Manny insisted on a 50/50 split of the fights earnings to which Floyd ultimately disagreed with. I think the only thing people want to hear from Mayweather Jr. these days is where and when that fight will happen. Yet still, Floyd reminds Stephen A. and all his fans that he is the best ever. Meanwhile, you can catch Floyd Mayweather Jr. fighting on May 4th vs Robert Guerrero and putting his spotless 43-0 record on the line. Who are you rooting for?

#BeInspired! - Anne Frank

#BeInspired!

It's in difficult times like these:
ideals, dreams, and cherished hopes rise within us,
only to be crushed by grim reality.
 It's a wonder I haven't abandoned all my ideals,
they seem so absurd and impractical.
Yet I still believe,
in spite of everything,
that people are truly good at heart.

Ex Drug Trafficker turned Corporate Mogul spits knowledge to Black culture

"Ex Drug Trafficker turned Corporate Mogul kicks knowledge to Black culture"

A passionate plea from a successful dude from the hood urging Blacks to do better with reaching back to the youth and motivating others to progress as a whole. Throughout life people will make you mad, disrespect you & treat you bad; however, let God deal with the things they do, because hate in your heart will consume you too. When the power of love overcomes the love of the power, then the world will know peace. If you want to succeed in life, stop wishing for it and start WORKING for it! Set one realistic goal for yourself today, achieve it, then repeat tomorrow and so on....This will build confidence to reach larger goals. A goal is a dream with a deadline. Build your worth through education. If you can't afford a degree, take some free classes. To raise your professional value, get certificates, degrees, and establish real-world experience. Results matter! Your business is like an expensive car, if you can't afford the upkeep then don't buy the car! Winning starts inside you, long before it actually happens. The key to success is to start within yourself. You are the master of your faith and the captain of your soul. Think "What can I teach?", "What can I learn?" Success is peace of mind, which is a direct result of knowing you did your best to become the best that you were capable of being. Happiness comes from making others happy, just as money comes from making others money. Give what you wish to receive. The distance between who you are and who you wish to be is separated only by your words and actions. Choose wisely. #BeInspired!!

From Homelessness to an Executive Suite

"From Homelessness to an Executive Suite"

Take a look at the inspiring story of a man named Orlando Ward who was once homeless and is now an executive after admitting himself to a rehabilitation center. Ward's downfall began almost three decades ago when he suffered a devastating knee injury during his sophomore year of college. He was never able to recover. "That put me on a different trajectory in life", Ward said. "There was a period of lonliness and isolation that made me make decisions that I wouldn't have made in the past". His life then went on a downward spiral that lasted 17 years, during which he lost several jobs and never got sober despite numerous rehab attempts -- until 1999, when he landed at Midnight Mission, an outreach program that offers services to the homeless as well as drug and alcohol rehabilitation. His main skill on the court was rebounding, and that's exactly what he did at Midnight Mission. After 10 years at the organization, he was named its vice president of operations, the highest position attained by any person who came off the street. This is a story of one of the MANY things that can be done through having faith and determination! All things are possible through Christ who strengthens us. If Ward can, YOU CAN! #BeInspired!

T.I.Speaks To Students at West Ridge Academy

"T.I. Speaks to West Ridge Academy"

Rapper T.I. "Tip" Harris speaks to students at West Ridge Academy in Utah. He explains to them the importance of education, being successful, setting goals and pursing their dreams. This is a very motivational speech coming from a very humble man, to say the least. I believe we need more artists that give back to the youth and encourage them to think for themselves, not just doing what's "in" at the moment. It's fairly easy for kids to take heed from someone who is known to make huge impacts on people's lives...why not give them something positive to follow? Check out the videos above and see how T.I. offers a few words of wisdom and encouragement that could change your mindset of what's important to you.

The Value of Mentors

"The Value of Mentors"

A good example has twice the value of good advice. There are many people (including myself), that have had an idea of what it is that they want to do or accomplish, but don't know the correct way of going about doing so... My advice to those of you is to find you a mentor. According to Dictionary.com, a mentor is defined as a teacher, supporter, or a wise and trusted counselor. We all have dreams and desires, however; in order to make those dreams into reality, it takes an awful lot of dedication, determination, and discipline. Visions are never fully formulated, they develop with time. Ask yourself if what you're doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow? Half of being smart is knowing exactly what you're dumb at. That's where your mentor comes into play! Mentor-ship is positioning your heart to receive God through a person. To succeed you need to find something to hold on to, something to inspire you, something to motivate you.  YOU are the master of your faith and the captain of your soul! Be with wise men and become wise, be with evil men and become evil. The best way to become better, is to surround yourself with others that are doing better. Your life doesn't get better by chance, it gets better by change! No matter how long you've traveled in the wrong direction, you ALWAYS have the choice to turn around! When you work at your job, you make a living...but when you work on yourself, you make a FORTUNE!

Mentor. Inspire. Move forward together.

"Dreams" - a poem written by Chanel Johnson

"Dreams"

Believing that I can do the impossible,
even when there are obstacles...
I believe in me.
Never doubting, even when my vision gets cloudy,
when my opponents start shouting,
waiting on my defeat,
I will be the dream of my mother, grandmother, and my father.
The influential daughter,
who was fortunate enough to dream,
in a time when success only seems to be measured by who you impress,
how you dress, how big is your breast?
The flat out bullshit we accept.
No more aiming for an A+ ,
only plan B pills and how fast did you buss,
hopeless children with no one to trust,
looking for love but only finding lust.
Is this what we have become?
The lost generation,
but just be patient....
I have the courage of Angela Davis,
The intellect of Toni Morrison,
even the bluest eyes won't intimidate me
because like Maya Angelou "Still I Rise"!
I will rise for the people that sat,
the single mother who didn't get her chance,
for the boy without a plan,
for those men who are being tossed in prison cells,
faster than I can flip my penny into a wishing well,
cause they were only taught to give and sale.
So now this prison cell is what he will call home,
so the girl who sits alone will pick her head up,
and see her strength,
 her power...
her wit...
it still exists,
even when you can't see it yourself,
have no doubts,
you can achieve it,
whatever you desire to be...
you can become!
NO!
We are not dumb!!!
This is my declaration to become,
 everything they said we couldn't,
everything they said we shouldn't...
I will be!
I will never be to afraid to dream of better tomorrows,
or believe those who say I'm aiming too high,
What makes Oprah Winfrey any different from me?
Why can't I live out my dreams?
They say those things don't happen to people like us...
but who told you that you weren't good enough?
Because I mustered up enough courage,
to not give a fuck!
It won't be luck,
I will conquer my dreams!!
I'M ANTIWEAK!

How To Have Success

Take a look as Will Smith explains how having success starts from within yourself. There's no cutting corners with excellence! It takes a lot of dignity and self- respect to stay true to your values when it seems like everyone else around you have none, but its worth it! To be great, you have to be willing to be mocked, to be hated and misunderstood. Your life will become better by making others lives better. If success is important enough to you, you'll make it happen...if it's not, you'll make an excuse. By training our minds, we are capable of transcending our instinctive behaviors. Be faithful in small things because it is in them that your strength lies. Find something you're really interested in doing in life. Pursue it, set goals, and commit yourself to excellence. Only be concerned with those weaknesses that will get in the way of your success. Become the best YOU that you can be! Become AntiWeak!

The things that have been most valuable to me,
I did not learn in school.

How Bad Do You Want to Succeed?

How Bad Do You Want to Succeed?

As easy as it is for everyone to say they want to succeed, how many are willing to sacrifice something for the price of success? How many are so hungry to make it that they can't think of doing anything else? Well, if you want to succeed you have to ask yourself "How bad do I really want it?." Michael Jordan didnt become the G.O.A.T by "turning up", "drilling", or being a "hitta"...he put in hard work and dedication. The man who wins, is the man who thinks he can. Fear melts when you take action toward a goal you really want! When you want to succeed as bad as you breathe, then you will be successful! When you trying to breathe you dont care about a basketball game, you dont care about a party, you dont care about being cool, nor do you care about anybody calling or tweeting you...ALL you care about is trying to get a breath of air! So "Turn down for what?", you ask? Turn down because your future and  success depends on it! ONLY THE STRONG SURVIVE! Check out the video above and #BeInspired!!!!

"My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness,
then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength."

-Michael Jordan
