Sterling Dios is an up and coming Chicago artist who's overall goal is to bring froth the story of the modern day street life. The South side native creates a sound that resembles a mix of Midwest attitude mellowed out by a Southern Texas flow. When listening close enough, you can hear a 90's hip hop rhythm accompanied by a timeless melody you can nod to. His first project #SecondSemester was released October 31, 2012 and his next release is expected to drop by mid-summer of 2013. His motto "No Talking, No Lacking" and he is the unofficial "Mr. Antiweak" of 2013, anyone STRONG enough to go against him for the title? ANTI or WEAK? You be the judge!

"I'm Writing" - a poem written by Caprice O'Bryant

I’M WRITING

I’m writing for those who can’t or won’t
I’m writing for those girls who are afraid to say "Don’t"
I’m writing to uplift your spirits and tell you somebody cares
‘Cause even when you think you’re alone, God is always there.
I’m writing to tell you that your dreams aren’t that far away.
The difference between a dream and a goal is the deadline in place.
And the success of your goal is not determined by a situation you face.
So I’m writing for those who need help
To show you how to believe in yourself
I’m writing to open my heart
And speak how I feel
To tell others that their feelings count; cause they’re real
I’m writing ‘cause I love it
‘Cause it makes me feel good
Not ‘cause I have to or cause I should
I’m writing for God cause he’s speakin through me,
It pays to praise baby, just wait and see.
I’m writing to reveal a side of me I’m no longer afraid to show.
I’m writing for every single doctor who ever told me no.
I’m writing for those afraid to play the game,
To get lost in the battle and forget your own name.
I’m writing for every woman who’s dated a bad guy,
What you cryin for lady? God got you, so smile.
I’m writing for every man that’s been friend zoned,
There’s a special one for you, let that silly girl go.

I’m writing to find my purpose,
To figure out what I’m here to do.
But maybe I’m just writing to motivate and inspire you?
I’ll write til I can’t anymore, my very last breath.
I’ll write til my hands fall off and my heart pops out my chest.
I’ll write til everybody hears me and everybody knows my name.
I’ll write til these words alone will suddenly numb the pain.
So listen, I’m writing for me and I’m writing for you
‘Cause it fills me up inside, it keeps my life true
